Our story
Built on real experience.
Toltur builds on the lessons of a movement monitoring system used on an operating light rail line. That data gave the client and operator the evidence to confirm that reported vehicle movements were not a concern.
The lesson was about trust. Data is only useful when you know it is complete, comparable across a fleet, and able to stand up when someone asks what happened.
Toltur is a new platform built around that lesson, for rail, roads and the wider transport industry.
The name comes from the tölt, the Icelandic horse’s signature gait. It is so smooth that a rider can carry a full glass without spilling a drop. That is the standard we hold every journey to.

Rail systems and commercial consulting
Burixon Limited is a rail systems and commercial consulting company based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Burixon has extensive experience in the delivery of multi billion dollar rail infrastructure projects, with the commercial consulting side also having experience in mining, transportation, power, communications and government projects.
Software and digital
Blue Flamingo is a digital agency that designs and builds web platforms, apps and connected systems, with more than 20 years of combined experience. For Toltur, Blue Flamingo leads the platform: the web control panel, the data and reporting, and the integrations that feed your existing systems.
